Wild Bird Gallery is a work in progress. The goal is to make it a multimedia reference to the birds of the world. The purpose is to help in identification of species down to sub-species, age, and sex if at all possible. 1760 species & subspecies have been indexed with their scientific names, and the common english names as per the James F. Clements checklist and regularly updated with Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology changes. You can drill down to the bird from the Gallery page using an Alphabetical or a Taxonomical family list.
